Chemical Peels for Beginners: A Glow-Up Guide!

As summer ends and transitions into fall, it's the perfect time to start incorporating peels into your skincare routine. but, if you’re new to chemical peels you may not know what to expect or where to start so I’m breaking it all down for you.

💧 What is a Chemical Peel?
Chemical peels are a great form of exfoliation for your skin. It’s a much deeper form of exfoliation than your at home exfoliation or even what’s typically used during a traditional facial. The process uses a formulated chemical solution to gently remove dead skin cells, revealing smoother and brighter skin underneath. This process improves the texture of your skin by encouraging the growth of fresh new cells and stimulating collagen production. The peels that I offer here at Kathleen Skincare are called a “layer” peel. This means the solution is applied in layers and self neutralizes Depending on your skin up to 6 layers can be applied.
